‘SIVE’ ON STAGE: This Friday and Saturday night (16th & 17th Oct.) at 8.30pm
history will be made at the Community Centre when John B. Keane's famous
first play ‘Sive’ will be staged for the first time in the parish. The
local cast have put in months of practice to perfect their presentation. A
great night not to be missed. Jimmy Browne, Cllr. John Brassil and Michael
Leane have very kindly sponsored the Raffle prizes each night. A lovely
friendly night-out is in store for you. Are our Ballyheigue Players heading
for Broadway? Come and make your own judgement call !!!.
We will treat you too - After each night’s performance free hospitality
will be available to enable people to mix and mingle to discuss the quality
of the show and even the talents of the actors and actresses. Yes, make it

DEATH: The death took place during the week of Maura Fitzgerald (née
Marshall) of The Cross, Ballyheigue. Reposed in her residence on Wednesday,
followed by removal to St. Mary’s Church, Ballyheigue on Thursday 8th
October 2015 for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in The Holy
Family Cemetery, Ballyheigue. R.I.P. We offer sympathy to her son,
daughter, brothers, relatives and friends.
KERRY HOSPICE FOUNDATION: There will be a Coffee Day at the home of
Michael & Noreen Gleeson, Glenlea on Tuesday 20th October from 10.00am
‘till late… Everyone welcome.
GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Saturday night’s GAA
Lotto: 3-4-22-28. The Jackpot of €1,850 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot
will be €1,900. The two €50 winners were: Sean Geaney, Bouleenshere and
John Casey, Bar na Sraide. The €25 winner was Joanne Barrett, Mountway,
Ballyheigue.
UNDER 21s: The Ballyheigue/Abbeydorney U-21 hurlers defeated Crotta in the
Acorn Championship Q-final at Abbeydorney on Sunday. Full time score
Ballyheigue/Abbeydorney 1-15 and Crotta 3-6. The Ballyheigue players on
the panel were: Brendan Dunne, Michael Leane, Owen Lucid, Adrian Flahive,
Paudie Carroll, Philip Lucid, Conor Galway, Tomas Casey. They will play
St. Brendans in the Co. Championship semi-final on a date to be fixed.
N.K. HURLING BOOK LAUNCH: North Kerry - “A Hurling History of the North
Kerry Hurling Board 1925/2015” Book Launch by Aogán O Fearghail, President
of the Gaelic Athletic Association, at Ballyroe Hotel this Sunday 18th
October 2015 at 8.00pm. The book traces the history of North Kerry Hurling
Board from its foundation in 1925 right down to its 90th Anniversary in
2015. It is a record of hurling in North Kerry and a tribute to all those
who organised, supported and played the game through both the good and
difficult times. All welcome to the launch.
COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 5th October in
the Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto: 1-8-17-23. Jackpot was not
won. The €50 winner was: Teresa Madden, C/o Tom Joe. The €25 winners
were: Aiden O’Mahony C/o Macs, Chris Murphy, C/o Kitty and J. Nolan, C/o
John B. Next week’s Jackpot €2,500.

upcoming trip to the Fís Film Festival at Helix in Dublin with our latest
film “The Chase” which won the top prize in the U-18 category at the
Charlie Chaplin Film Festival Waterville this summer. Come to the coffee
