BALLYHEIGUE NOTES – 22nd September 2015

COMHALTAS: Enrolment for music lessons & AGM for CCE Naomh Breandáin will
take place on Tuesday 29th September in Cuil Mhuire (beside Ardfert Church)
at 7:30pm. Lessons will begin on Monday 5th October in Ardfert Community
Centre.

CCE Naomh Breandáin incorporates Ardfert, Kilmoyley, Ballyheigue,
Churchill, Spa & Fenit areas.

A "THRASHER" THANKS: The Pattern "Thrasher" Committee wishes to thank
Glenderry and Sliabh Mhadra schools, Lixnaw GAA Scór Group, the Causeway
Wrenboy Group and individual artistes who made the Pattern Concert such a
success.The Committee also wishes to thank all who contributed to the
excellence of the Pattern Grand Sessions Night in the White Sands. The word
on the street speaks highly of the Event as everyone enjoyed the
festivities.

BADMINTON – The new Badminton season is just up and running and will
continue in the Community Centre Ballyheigue every Monday and Thursday
night from 8.30 to 10.00. New members welcome.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL: Ballyheigue St. Vincent de Paul is there to provide

ACCORD: Offers an affordable professional counselling service with
qualified counsellors in a confidential, caring and safe environment. The
Centre offers one-to-one counselling, couple counselling, separation
support, fertility awareness and natural family planning service. “If you
can’t talk to each other, try talking to us.” We also offer Pre-Marriage

DEATHS: We extend sympathy to Mrs Maureen O’Mahony, Clahanebawn on the
death of her father William (Willie) O’Grady, Castleshannon, Causeway.
Requiem Mass was on Friday 18th September followed by burial in St. John’s
Cemetery, Causeway. R.I.P.

The death took place during the week of Michael Monson, Ballinclemessig,
Ballyheigue. Removal on Monday from Casey’s Funeral Home to St. John’s
Church, Causeway followed by burial on Tuesday 22nd September in St. John’s
Cemetary, Causeway. R.I.P. We offer sympathy to his wife, family,
relatives and friends.

We also extend sympathy to Mrs Teresa Reidy, Glenlea, Ballyheigue on the
death of her sister Ann McCarthy, Ardagh, Causeway. Removal from her home
on Tuesday to St. John’s Church, Causeway followed by Requiem Mass at 12
noon and burial in St. John’s Church, Causeway. R.I.P.

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Saturday night’s GAA
Lotto: 11-16-23-28. The Jackpot of €1,700 was not won. Next week’s
Jackpot will be €1,750. The two €50 winners were Laura/Gillian Carroll,
Kerryhead, C/o Kieran, and Steve Reidy, Tiershanahan. The €25 winner was
John Flahive, Tiduff.

FIXTURE: Co. League Division 3 final – Ballyheigue ‘B’ v Austin Stack’s
this Saturday evening. Check re venue and time.

COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 14th September
in the Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto: 6-19-25-26. Jackpot was
not won. The €50 winner was Christina Nealon, C/o Tom Joe. The €25
winners were: Mary Godley, C/o Kieran, Lilly Dunne, C/o Pat, and Josie
James, C/o Mike. Next week’s Jackpot €2,350.
