BALLYHEIGUE NOTES – Michael Burkett

TEA DANCE: Next Sunday 16th November the Ballyheigue Over 55s Club is
holding an afternoon Tea Dance in the White Sands Hotel from 2.30pm to
5.30pm. Music by Stevie Donegan.

HORIZONS: Start your Sunday morning by listening to the Horizons Programme
on Radio Kerry at 9.00am. Spread the word and spread the Christian
message. If you feel there is someone with something to contribute to
‘Horizons’ from your area, contact maryfagan@dioceseofkerry.ie

BALLYHEIGUE CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: A house to house collection for a 2014
Christmas Bazaar for Ballyheigue will take place on the weekend of Friday
14th and Saturday 15th November, the committee are kindly asking for a
donation of €5 from households who are willing to contribute. The bazaar
will take place on Sunday 14th December. Funds raised will go to
Bouleenshere National School and Kerryhead/Ballyheigue Family Resource
Centre.

MASS: The annual Mass for deceased workers of Kerry Ingredients, Listowel
will be held in St. Michael's Church, Lixnaw on November 19th at 8pm.

DECEASED OF PAST YEAR: On Friday November 21st at 7.30pm Mass, we will
prayerfully remember all those who have died during the past year.
Relatives are asked to bring a candle to the altar and their names will be
called out in remembrance. Candles will be provided, but please bring a
slip of paper with the name of your dead on it. If you would like to
remember others who died since last November outside of the Parish please
hand in their names during the week.

CLUB ÓG-ÓGRAS BHAILE UÍ THAIDHG: meet at Ballyheigue Community
Centre/Youth Space
on Tuesday between 5 and 6. This is a fantastic opportunity for young people
aged 7 to 12 to learn and practise Irish in a fun environment.
Registration for the year is just €20 plus €2 per evening. Further details
from Risteard Ó Fuaráin on 087-2194992.

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at Saturday night’s GAA Lotto:
3-6-21-25. The Jackpot of €4,500 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot will be
€4,550. The two €50 winners were: Peter Fitzgerald, Heirhill and Mary Jane
Reidy, Tiershannahan. The €25 winner was Michael O’Sullivan, Buncurrig.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP: Hard luck on the Lixnaw hurlers who put in a tremendous
performance only to go down by three points to Bruff, Limerick in the
A.I.B. Munster Intermediate Championship Semi-final at Austin Stack’s Park
on Sunday. Final score: Bruff 2-13 and Lixnaw: 2-10.

COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 3rd November in
the Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto: 10-19-22-26. Jackpot was
not won. The €50 winner was Paul Reidy, C/o John B. The €25 winners were;
Robyn Madden, C/o Tom Joe, Shaun Madden C/o Tom Joe and Veronica O’Riordan,
C/o Kitty. Next week’s Jackpot €2,450.
