GO FAIRTRADE – A LENTEN ACTION: Consider making the choice to buy
Fair-trade products like tea, coffee, sugar and/or bananas. This will help
farmers and their families in developing countries gat a fair price and
help their communities too. It is Fairtrade Fortnight from 23rd February
to 8th March, see www.fairtrade.ie
PUB TABLE QUIZ: In Bunker’s Bar, Killorglin on Thursday 5th March at 8.00pm
in aid of bringing young people to Lourdes.
GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Saturday night’s GAA
Lotto: 3-15-25-26. The Jackpot of €5,250 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot
will be €5,300. The two €50 winners were John Tynan, Cliff Road and
Richard O’Mahony, Clahanebawn. The €25 winner was Michael Leen, C/o Pat
Joe.
GAA SOCIAL: The Ballyheigue GAA Club wish to thank all those who supported
their annual Social in the White Sands Hotel on Saturday night and also
those who sponsored spot prizes. A most enjoyable night was had by all and
what a wonderful meal was served up by the White Sands Hotel.
GAA MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT: A meeting of Ballyheigue GAA Club will be
held on this Wednesday 4th March in the White Sands Hotel at 9.30pm to
organise the Patrick O’Mahony Memorial Tournament. All welcome.
COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 23rd February
in the Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto: 8-13-21-24. Jackpot was
not won. The €50 winner was Padraig Tobin, C/o Pat Joe. The €25 winners
were B.T.T. Syndicate, C/o Macs. D. Crowe, C/o Pat Joe and Nathan O’Shea,
C/o Kitty. Next week’s Jackpot €900.
